SkateSwipe was created by a Canadian mom who spent countless early mornings and freezing evenings at the rink, watching her young son pursue his love for hockey. Like many skating families, the rink became a second home, filled with pride, excitement, and community. But after every practice and game, she noticed a simple problem that was often overlooked: skaters were using socks, rags, or paper towels to wipe ice and moisture from their skate blades.
She saw children handling sharp skate blades with their bare fingers and watched parents worry about cuts and injuries while trying to complete a routine part of skate care. It raised a simple question: Why wasn't there a safer and easier way to clean and dry skate blades?
That question led to the creation of SkateSwipe, an ice skate blade cleaner and drying tool designed to make post-skating blade care safer and more convenient. SkateSwipe helps hockey players, figure skaters, and recreational skaters remove ice and moisture from their blades while keeping hands away from sharp edges.
What began as one mother's effort to make skate care safer for her child has grown into a simple solution for skaters, parents, coaches, and families who want an easier way to care for their equipment.
